Ryder Cup Fan Heckles, Gets Challenged to Make a Putt, Sinks It

The U.S. just knocked off the Europeans in a rowdy Ryder Cup, but the true highlight came days earlier during the practice rounds.

Henrik Stenson and Rory McIlroy were working on a 12-foot putt but just could not sink it. The duo each missed six times, according to USA Today.

A fan from North Dakota, David Johnson, said that even he could make the putt. That's when the pair of golfers turned to the crowd and told Johnson to come on out and prove it. To make things even more interesting, Justin Rose slapped down a $100 bill right next to the ball. So what did Johnson do? He NAILED it. Watch the video from McIlroy above. It's truly spectacular.

Abby Wambach's Gatorade Commercial Asks You To Forget Her

Abby Wambach played her final career match the other day, and there was massive fanfare on social media, just before she deleted her account. My buddy and much bigger fan of soccer Ryan wrote a solid piece on Abby's legacy, which I highly recommend reading.

The Gatorade spot is chilling, though. It's tough to imagine asking everyone to forget you–after all, nearly every human wants to be remembered for something. But sometimes letting others have the spotlight is the best gift you can give.

Carli Lloyd Scores Hat Trick In 16 Minutes, U.S. Women Win World Cup

Again, I'm not going to pretend like I enjoy watching soccer. But it was pretty cool seeing the U.S. beat Japan 5-2 to clinch their first World Cup victory since 1999 technically only three World Cups were played in between then and now, but the length of time sounds so much cooler with the years involved.

Game MVP goes to Carli Lloyd, who scored less than three minutes into the game. Litchrally seconds later, she added another goal.

Then, less than 16 minutes into the match, the U.S. got their third goal from Lloyd, and fourth of the game. This one was from freakin' midfield.

Way to go, ladies. Doing our country proud. U-S-A (x 100).
