This Just In: Leo Messi is Good

Taking down the dreams of the U.S. Men's National Team with him, Argentina's Leo Messi broke the all-time scoring record in his club's 4-0 victory Tuesday night in the semifinals of the Copa America Centenario. Naturally, he did it with an absurdly amazing goal on a free kick. Just watch and marvel.

Carli Lloyd Scores Hat Trick In 16 Minutes, U.S. Women Win World Cup

Again, I'm not going to pretend like I enjoy watching soccer. But it was pretty cool seeing the U.S. beat Japan 5-2 to clinch their first World Cup victory since 1999 technically only three World Cups were played in between then and now, but the length of time sounds so much cooler with the years involved.

Game MVP goes to Carli Lloyd, who scored less than three minutes into the game. Litchrally seconds later, she added another goal.

Then, less than 16 minutes into the match, the U.S. got their third goal from Lloyd, and fourth of the game. This one was from freakin' midfield.

Blue Chair Bay Rum recently announced the ‘Nowhere to Be But Here Tour,’ visiting over 25 US cities from April through August.  Starting in Texas, Blue Chair Bay is offering consumers of legal drinking age prime opportunities to experience the rums that multi-platinum singer-songwriter Kenny Chesney created to celebrate the anywhere, anytime spirit of the islands. 

 

Blue Chair Bay’s three premium rum flavors – White, Coconut and Coconut Spice – are all 100% beach made, mellowed in casks at one of the oldest, most storied distilleries in the Caribbean, located literally one hundred yards from the beach.  Blue Chair Bay White Rum recently earned one of the industry’s highest honors: a four-star, Highly Recommended rating from leading spirits arbiter F. Paul Pacult.

Olympic Swimmers Perform "Call Me Maybe"

OK...we get it already. It's a catchy song. This is probably one of the more entertaining lip syncs, though. The Olympic swimmers of 2012 take a stab at "Call Me Maybe." 

My favorite part is on the plane - amazing how many empty seats there are for the performers to just fall into! No word yet on if this has actually helped the swimmers in their events, but hey, it's worth a shot.
