Green Day Debuts "Bang Bang" Music Video

I don't know how Billie Joe Armstrong doesn't age, but he looks just as youthful here as he did in the "Basket Case" video 22 years ago. Well done, Green Day. Well done.

Little Mermaid's "Kiss the Girl" Sounds Radically Different in a Minor Key

Music is wonderful in how it can stir up emotions deep inside of us. It's similarly terrific in the way that you can slightly change it and it sounds completely different, for better or worse. I personally think this version of "Kiss the Girl" by Chase Holfelder, who moved The Little Mermaid into a minor key, is quite the jam. 

Instead of a catchy pop song that has everyone throwing their hands up and singing "sha la la" till the cows come home, we get something that sounds like an R&B track you'd hear at the club. It's pretty delightful. Enjoy! 

Did You Know: The Rolling Stones Sang About Rice Krispies?

Back in the early 1960s, the Rolling Stones were just an up and coming band out of England. But that didn't stop Rice Krispies from contacting the rockers to record a jingle about Snap, Crackle and Pop. The song, which was likely recorded in 1963 or 1964, has a lick so hot you might burn your ears just listening to it. Sing it, Mick!

Miss Piggy Sings "Bitch Better Have My Money" by Rihanna

Rihanna seems to be embracing some kind of psycho alter ego lately with her radio singles. It started with "FourFiveSeconds," an acoustic trio with Kanye West and Paul McCartney about wilin' on some folk. That tune was very catchy and featured quite the awkward Grammy performance.

A more recent release is "Bitch Better Have My Money," a song that is insanely easy to get stuck in your head, even though the premise is ridiculous. But hey, Ri Ri didn't get rich by handing out loans everywhere, so you may as well pay her.

Anyway, a genius named Mylo the Cat released a remix of this song for Vulture Remix, which apparently has four episodes now. It features Miss Piggy as Rihanna, and the matchup of lyrics with Piggy's flapping gums is quite magical. To both queens, we salute the search for money.

Dances Is A Band You Really Should Be Listening To

Dances is a Brooklyn-based band that is just as catchy as their name would imply. Made up of Trevor Vaz, Sam Stoeltje and David Su, you'll hear everything from punk to rock to Britpop to 60s psych. After releasing their EP Whiter Sands in 2014, the band is set to drop its debut LP Keep Talking on September 4th via Black Bell Records/Gigawatts Records.

This Music Video Is Among The Most Ridiculous

Beirut debuted their new music video for the song "No, No, No," and it is pretty outrageous. Set to frontman Zach Condon's new love, No No No is going to be an album full of sunshine. Meanwhile, this video is full of nonsense. Condon at various points plays a loaf of French bread and a skunk as if they were a trumpet. Not sure which one would be easier to mimic.

Lil Dicky Drops New Song About Pregaming

This is so accurate it's almost scary. Lil Dicky is back with a new jam, "Classic Male Pregame," about the preparation in going out for an evening on the town. Of course, as is so often the case, that evening out never even happens. My favorite part of this song is the debate over the top 10 players in the NBA. LaMarcus Aldridge is certainly on the fringe of the discussion.

Say what you will about New Found Glory, but the fivesome knows how to write a great pop punk tune. This is one of them.

That Song 'Cups' Is Still Awesome

And it's even more awesome in this one-take video from YouTuber Kurt Schneider, featuring Sam Tsui, Kina Grannis and Alex G. This song is so catchy already, and with a cool breakdown section in the middle, this cover nails it. BAM.

Sufjan Stevens' Delightful Christmas Album Ad

Sufjan Stevens is certainly a Christmas connoisseur. He's released a number of festive songs, and he still has the holiday spirit in this hilarious commercial from Pitchfork TV. Part one of Stevens' "Friendship Slay Ride" video series, it's a promotion for his album Silver & Gold, but it features some tracks that I would love to hear, in wonderful cheap PSA form. Enjoy!
