NBA Players Bust Out Their Acting Chops on the Disney Channel

The Orlando Sentinel broke a story about Dwight Howard making a cameo on Disney Channel's The Suite Life on Deck, a show that takes place on a cruise ship. The main characters, Zach and Cody, are focused on a basketball game coming up, when a member of the rival team introduces his "little brother" (Hint: it's Howard). And the writers spared no expense at giving Howard some cheesy lines. It gets even better--Howard's "widdle friends," Deron Williams and Kevin Love, join him for the hypothetical basketball game. It's good to know that D-Will really likes puppies.

This Day in History
1838- Samuel Morse's telegraph is demonstrated for the first time in Morristown, New Jersey. The telegraph, a device which used electric impulses to transmit encoded messages over a wire, eventually revolutionized long-distance communication.
