Mean Tweets from Jimmy Kimmel Live is always a good source of laughs, and the latest one is no exception. The cast of The Avengers: Infinity War share the rude thoughts of random Internet commenters, and it's jam-packed since there are like 47 people in the movie. You'll hear everyone get made fun of, from Chris Pratt to Chris Evans. Not everyone is named Chris, to be clear, that was just some nice symmetry.
Jimmy Kimmel was noticeably absent from Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, which naturally got the world wide interwebs ablazin' with all sorts of conspiracy theories.
Naturally, the real reason had nothing to do with any kinds of wacky rumors. Instead, upon returning to his show, Kimmel revealed that his son had been born with a heart disease and walked the crowd through all of the emotions of learning that your son has a problem with his heart. This story does have a happy ending and his baby boy is healthy, though he'll still have to have multiple surgeries down the road. We're hoping all goes well and Billy lives a perfectly normal life.

Well, I guess this is why people watch the Oscars. Taking a page out of the Miss Universe pageant, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced the winner of Best Picture for the 2017 Oscars. The card said "La La Land," so Dunaway made the proclamation that it had won.
As they celebrated onstage, the La La Land folks realized they had actually not won, and Moonlight, in fact, took home this year's Best Picture. In an incredibly gracious display, they invited the Moonlight team up onstage and presented them with the award. Beatty, who took an awfully long time to read the card, came up to the microphone to explain why: the card had actually said "Emma Stone, La La Land." The pair had the card from the previous award for Best Actress. It was mass confusion, and made the end of the award ceremony a little more entertaining than in years past. This is also the second time in less than a year that a major award has been announced incorrectly. We can do better than this, America.
Being President is hard work. Not only do you have to worry about the country you preside over, whether it's the economy, social tension, or natural disasters, you also have to maintain diplomatic foreign relations.

Celebrity Mean Tweets is back for its ninth installment on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which I believe makes it the 14th or 15th overall. And surprisingly, it is still funny. The creativity of some of these tweets is top notch. Keep it up, trolls. Keep it up.
In what has become a yearly tradition, fans of Jimmy Kimmel Live have recorded themselves telling their kids that they actually ate all of their Halloween candy, and there's nothing left for the children. It's cruel, and some of the kids react in a completely bratty way, which is quite understandable since their tiny little worlds have been rocked. Enjoy?
If you've been anywhere remotely near the Internet this week, you've heard about Cecil the Lion, who was a local favorite in Zimbabwe. Cecil was kind to humans and would even pose calmly for photographs.
Of course, we can't have nice things, so Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer paid $50,000 to go with a pair of guides and shoot and kill Cecil. Never mind that Cecil was illegally baited out of his habitat, shot with an arrow and then tracked for 40 hours before finally being shot and killed. For his part, Palmer has stated he didn't know Cecil was a beloved lion until the end of the hunt, and he felt everything was done legally. But this is also the same guy who was arrested for a felony in 2008 because he lied about where he killed a bear, and also just seems like a general terrible human being, so I'm not taking much of what he says seriously.
Jimmy Kimmel spoke of the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and even got a little choked talking about Cecil. He encouraged viewers to turn this into a positive thing, and suggested visiting www.wildcru.org to learn more and donate to wildlife conservation. For someone who's made a living off of generally juvenile (though often very funny) videos, this was a mature, thoughtful response to a terrible situation. Way to go, Jimmy.
It's been a hot minute since Jimmy Kimmel Live released an installment of Mean Tweets, but we can stop worrying now. Just in time for the NBA Finals, Kimmel and co. provide us with some more baller cruelty. A ton of the players on here have already been roasted once or twice via tweet, so I feel like this loses a little luster. But hey, the insults are as strong as ever. Enjoy!
Kobe Bryant is currently missing the entire NBA season thanks to an injury. His teammates, unfortunately, still have to play games. They just won their first contest in nine tries to improve in the standings, and now sit at 14-41. That's terrible, and is even five games behind the SACRAMENTO KINGS, of all teams.
Bryant went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about all things basketball, and he was shown a clip of his teammates celebrating after said victory, an overtime thriller against the Celtics. Granted, the two teams are rivals, but they're also both just awful this year. So was this an overreaction?
The newest edition of "Mean Tweets," really the best segment from Jimmy Kimmel Live, features more musicians from all walks of life and annoyances. You've got Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Sia (randomly facing backwards and eating a jar of peanut butter with her hand), and many others being insulted by tweeters.
The last couple of episodes of this were not super funny, making me think it had finally stopped being a good idea. But this one is hysterical, and all is right with the world again.

You may remember Shia LaBeouf getting arrested outside of a cabaret a few months ago. Well, now he's on the talk show circuit, and at least on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he told the story of said arrest. I'm sure most if not all of it is fabricated, but it is incredibly entertaining. I've never really been a fan of Mr. LaBeouf, though with more stories like this, I may just start to turn a new leaf. Finally, Jimmy Kimmel Live brought the trio of female stars together for a sketch, in a set that looks shockingly like the apartment from the show. That's gotta mean something in advance of the 20th anniversary of the first episode, right?

Cube says 'em all with blinding rage, and it's wonderful.
I don't know if I've ever watched an entire episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The best strategy for the show is to just wait for clips like this one to be posted and then enjoy it in 2-4 minute spurts.
