31 Days of Calvin and Hobbes: Day 2

Like any good best friends, Calvin and Hobbes love to torment each other whenever possible. Hobbes always pounces on Calvin when he comes home, and the pair constantly have snowball and water fights. It's glorious every time.

I like this strip in particular because it also showcases that Calvin is, after all, still a six-year-old. He has a natural curiosity about the world around him. Heck, I'm about to be 20 years older than him, and I'd still probably throw the water balloon at Hobbes. I have a morbid sense of humor, I guess. And water fights are awesome. Let's have one now. Who's in?

Dinosaur Throws Out First Pitch at MLB Game

The San Diego Padres win this year's award for "Craziest First Pitch," when they had a fully functioning T-Rex throw out the opening ceremonial toss. I'm not sure why this happened, though apparently it was a promotion for "Walking With Dinosaurs." Either way, the costume is incredibly lifelike, and dinosaurs are awesome, so it's good theater. Enjoy!
