As a college student, it can be difficult to understand life outside of your own personal bubble. The Virginia Tech basketball team proved this earlier this season with a little bit of disrespect during the National Anthem. Whether it was swaying, messing with their jerseys, talking, or doing anything else than standing at attention, head coach Buzz Williams was not impressed with his kids' performance.
So what did he do? He brought his team to stand face-to-face and side-by-side with the men and women who have bravely served our country to give them a lecture about respect and honor. Very powerful words and a great thing to do. Way to go, Buzz, and thank you to our armed forces for serving.
