Eagles Run Trick Play to Perfection Moments After the Patriots Failed At It

The Philadelphia Eagles are your Super Bowl champions after a 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots. One of the key plays for the Eagles was a trick play that resulted in quarterback Nick Foles catching a touchdown. It was a really well-designed call – and what made it even more impressive was that the Patriots tried a very similar play on an earlier possession. In an ultimate troll move, the Eagles saw the Patriots and raised them one score. WELL DONE.

T.Y. Hilton Pretends to Be Down, Gets Up and Scores

T.Y. Hilton caught five passes for 175 yards and two scores in the Colts' 20-14 win over the Houston Texans. The Indy receiver picked up 33 of those yards on a pretty heady play. After making a short catch over the middle and taking it down the field, Hilton appeared to be touched by the Texans' Karim Jackson. Turns out Jackson actually didn't make contact, though. And in a very smart move, Hilton, after laying on the ground for a second, got right up and ran into the end zone untouched. Sometimes being a possum is the best kind of offense.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Just Had The Touchdown Celebration of the Year

I'm very glad the NFL has allowed touchdown celebrations back into our lives. After previously banning showing any kind of emotion after scoring (a pretty impressive task no matter how you are), the league finally relented and...well, is letting the players have some fun.

We've seen some pretty creative celebrations throughout the course of the season, but this one by Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster takes the cake. He engages in a game of hide and seek with teammate LeVeon Bell, all while fellow wide receiver Antonio Brown looks on in confusion. It's absolutely delightful and even Jim Nantz and Tony Romo applaud from the broadcaster booth.

Smith-Schuster had plenty to celebrate during the game. The Steelers easily handled the Bengals, 29-14, and now have a commanding lead in the AFC North. Check out the chaos below:

Antonio Brown Touchdown Celebration Re-Imagined As Mario Game

Antonio Brown had himself a game Sunday night. 118 receiving yards and two scores, plus another on a 71-yard punt return. Of course, the man with "one of the great smiles in the NFL" did have one hiccup: his touchdown celebration, in which he attempted to climb the goal post and ended up falling on his back. He also drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for the celebration.

Luckily, the good folks at Sports Illustrated's The Cauldron know how to turn an embarrassing moment into a fun one. They recreated Brown's celebration, only now he's a character in an 8-bit Super Mario game, and he sticks the landing this time around. Check it out below.

Drew Stanton Celebrates Touchdown That He Doesn't Score With More Fervor Than Anyone Else

Arizona Cardinals backup QB Drew Stanton hasn't seen the field much this year, but that hasn't stopped him from getting some airtime. Celebrating a score from Andre Ellington, Stanton waves him home like a third base coach, pumps his fist like a tiny angry child, and dances like there's no tomorrow. It's wonderful and jubilant, and I want more celebrations like this. Way to go, Drew.

Dion Lewis's Catch And Touchdown Run Is The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

The Patriots, in traditional New England fashion, stomped on their opponents today. The hapless victim this time around was the Dallas Cowboys, playing without their starting quarterback and top receiver, among other injuries.

Someone who WAS playing, though, was Patriots running back Dion Lewis, who made an absurd one-handed grab before juking four Cowboys players en route to a touchdown. It really must be seen to be appreciated, so...enjoy!

BYU Beats Nebraska On Nuts Final Play

Freshman quarterback Tanner Mangum threw up a 42-yard Hail Mary to end BYU's first game against Nebraska. And wouldn't you know it, Cougars wide receiver Mitch Mathews pulled it down and fell into the end zone. Game, Cougars.

What's even more impressive than Mangum's heave is that he did it after just 10 passes in his collegiate career, which all came in this game. The freshman replaced normal starter Taysom Hill, who's going to miss the rest of the year with a lisfranc injury. That's two years in a row Hill's had his season ended by an injury. Hopefully Mangum is ready to lead plenty more successful drives like this one. Way to go, Cougs.

89-Year-Old Scores Touchdown In Kansas Spring Game

It's been a hot minute (more like nearly 70 years) since Brian Sperry played on a collegiate football field. But the 89-year-old still has moves like Barry Sanders out on the field. Sperry zipped through the defense during the Kansas alumni game, scoring the winning touchdown. The look on his face while doing it was absolutely priceless. Way to go, Jayhawks.

Northwestern Loses to Nebraska In Most Northwesterny Way Possible

After a promising start to the season, the Northwestern Wildcats have now dropped five games in a row. The latest defeat came at the hands of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, when QB Ron Kellogg just throws up a hail mary from 49 yards out. A Northwestern defender tips it, trying to bat it down, and instead it goes straight into the arms of Nebraska's Jordan Westerkamp. My personal favorite moment of this whole play is Northwestern's defender (#44) who falls down in dismay. Just a heartbreaking, devastating loss for the Wildcats.

Fake Punts FTW

Sweet goodness, are we glad that college football is back. My favorite play from the weekend was a fake punt that the Villanova Wildcats pulled off to perfection against the Boston College Eagles. Even knowing what to look for I'm still fooled by the live shot. Incredible.

Replacement Weatherguy Forecast

Still understandably bitter over a Monday Night Football loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay is finding its own way to poke fun at the replacement referee situation. The NBC affiliate used a replacement weatherman to give the forecast. The highlights include a leap from -200 below zero to 346 degrees, culminating in a simultaneous sunny, storming blizzard later in the day. Good stuff.
