12-Year-Old Girl Goes On "America's Got Talent" and Absolutely Crushes It

Darci Lynne Farmer is a 12-year-old from Oklahoma City. She first discovered ventriloquism at church and decided she wanted to pursue it as a hobby. Her parents surprised her with a puppet on her 10th birthday to help her overcome her shyness. And my goodness was that a great move.

Farmer appeared on America's Got Talent with her rabbit puppet, Petunia. She explained she wanted to keep ventriloquism alive because it's "not very common." To the awe of the audience and the judges, Farmer and Petunia performed "Summertime" by George Gershwin. It was so impressive that Mel B used her "Golden Buzzer," which is apparently a free ticket to the final live show that each judge can only use once each season.

I have honestly never seen someone sing while controlling a puppet or dummy. This is incredible. Watch it and enjoy.

FX Brings 19th Century London to Television with the Premiere of Taboo

Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott are teaming up to produce Taboo, a new dark and gritty miniseries debuting on FX Networks in January. 

Set in 1814, Taboo follows James Keziah Delaney, a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father's legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.

Lonely Island, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots Perform "I'm On a Boat" with Classroom Instruments

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots are back playing with classroom instruments. This time they're joined by Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, aka The Lonely Island. While it's not nearly as good as Mariah Carey singing "All I Want For Christmas is You," I do enjoy the child-friendly alternatives to the many swears in the song (personal favorite: monkey funky). Well done, fellas.

Bill Simmons Believes in Any Given Wednesday

Bill Simmons has a show coming out on HBO Sports called Any Given Wednesday. Predictably enough, it airs on Wednesdays, starting June 22. And to get people hyped for it, he's released an "I Believe" promo, talking about all the things he believes. They may be good things, or they're things that should go away. And the final line is gold. I'm not sure how the show will fare, but I'll definitely tune in for the premiere.

Ready Yet, Get Set, It's (An) All That (Reunion)!

You may have heard the news that Nickelodeon is re-airing a ton of its old shows on a new network called Splat. One such show is the fantastic All That.

To help celebrate the show's 22nd anniversary (certainly an odd number to celebrate), the cast APPEARS to be hinting at an All That reunion. Danny Tamborelli, Kel Mitchell, Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg and Kenan Thompson make brief cameos in this video that features the hashtag #AllThatReunion.

Whether this new show will just feature the cast and crew reminiscing or will actually have new sketches remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure–it'll definitely be all that.

Kanye West Performs "Gold Digger" On American Idol

The final season (seems like we say this every year) of American Idol debuted yesterday, and during West Coast auditions, there was a surprise guest: Mr. Kanye West! Yeezy himself donned Idol's famous audition stage. Not sure if he has what it takes to make it to the top, but he's quite good at name dropping. And sometimes, that's all you need in this industry. Go get 'em, 'ye.

Impractical Jokers Is Such A Wonderful Show

Lately I've been binge-watching Impractical Jokers, a show on TruTV. Yes, I'm just as surprised as you that TruTV has shows that aren't basketball games during March Madness. But this is a terrific one.

The basic premise is these four guys play pranks on unsuspecting victims, but the pranks usually aren't mean like a ton of other prank shows, they're more quirky than anything else. And the other jokers feed the lines to the person performing the prank, so they don't know what they're about to say until it's coming out of their mouths. It's fantastic, and I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard at a show.

This clip might not be the best, but the enthusiasm shown over making a sandwich made me giggle uncontrollably for minutes the first time I watched it. And it still does watching it right now. Enjoy.

Celebrity Mean Tweets is back for its ninth installment on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which I believe makes it the 14th or 15th overall. And surprisingly, it is still funny. The creativity of some of these tweets is top notch. Keep it up, trolls. Keep it up.

Dan Patrick Appears On SportsCenter, Subtly Drops Jab At Former Employer

Dan Patrick made an appearance on the first episode of the midnight SportsCenter the other night, hosted by Scott Van Pelt. And, partially to squash any rumors of a return, Patrick--who was unceremoniously removed from the show and ESPN in 2007--kept his visitor badge on the whole time. It's a nice subtle jab at his former employer, and it's wonderful. Way to go, Dan. Pretty awesome to see one of the best of the old days chatting with one of the best from the current era.

Key And Peele Masterfully Parody Andre 3000 And Big Boi

It's been quite awhile since Andre 3000 and Big Boi, better known collectively as OutKast, have released a record. And if the latest sketch from Key & Peele is any indication, a new one isn't coming out anytime soon. It appears that Big Boi is sick of Andre 3000's shtick and "Peter Pan" personality. That isn't good for anyone. Except us, the viewers. Enjoy.

Arizona Rattlers "Lineman" Crashes Halftime Dance, Amazes Everyone

The AFL's Arizona Rattlers had a game the other night, but that's really not the important part of the story here. Instead, it's the halftime show: the Sidewinders dance squad start off with an entirely all-female number, before the party is crashed by Oscar Hernandez. Hernandez appears to be an offensive lineman, or at least a similar size. Yet he's got the moves like Jagger, Michael, or whichever great dancer you'd like to fill in. Probably because he actually is a professional choreographer. Very impressive all around.

And in case you're scoring at home, yes, the Rattlers won their game, 72-41 over the Spokane Shock. The Rattlers will look to defend their title against the San Jose SaberCats on Saturday, August 22.

San Francisco Giants Parody Full House Opening Credits, And It's Delightful

Even with 162 games during the regular season, Major League Baseball players have a ton of spare time on their hands. This is especially evident in San Francisco, where the Giants spent an off day recreating the opening credits from Full House. The parody, aptly named "Full Clubhouse," is a pretty solid shot-by-shot homage to the original. It even features a cameo from a famous Full House cast member. Which one? You'll just have to wait and see. Or, you can probably guess from the video's thumbnail. Enjoy.

Key And Peele Is Back...Yes!

Key and Peele returned to Comedy Central last night, and once again brought sketches like this one. Sometimes a football game makes you a little too hyphy. Key, Peele, and the rest of the squad find themselves biting off more than can chew in their pre-game pump-up. Look out, you could be the next person to get hyped up!

Conan's Clueless Gamer Takes On The Guys From Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley is a pretty underrated show on HBO about a group of dudes who invent this cool (and actually functioning, if it were to be developed in real life) way of compressing music to make it even sound better. So naturally, they'd be a good fit for some Halo 5: Guardians video game action against Conan O'Brien. Team Coco (Conan, Andy Richter and web developer Aaron Bleyaert) take on Team Silicon Valley (Thomas Middleditch, TJ Miller and Zach Woods). There are some excellent quotes in here, though I think my favorite has to be when Miller warns Conan, "You can turn the tables, but your feet will still be under it." Terrific.

Why Is The Chicken Dance From Arrested Development So Funny?

So I just finished watching the original run of Arrested Development (I know, I know). And it is quite spectacular, for sure. But probably my favorite part is anytime anyone in the family imitates a chicken to make fun of Michael Bluth, played by Jason Bateman. It's so random and nothing like a chicken that it's just fantastic. Of course, the best part is when the entire family does it. Gotta love when things bring the family together.

Tripp And Tyler Unveil Reverse Bowling To Change The World Of Bowling

Tripp and Tyler are a very underrated comedic duo on the interwebs. In addition to their skits, they've recently debuted a little talk show. If it's consistently filled with ideas like reverse bowling, I'm a fan. In essence, you try to hit the fewest pins possible, though getting a gutter results in 10 points. The lowest score wins. Beautiful.

Jimmy Kimmel Asks Pedestrians If They're Kinky

The movie adaption of Fifty Shades Of Grey has been out for a week now, to mostly mixed reviews. I'd venture the biggest complaint is that real people are actually much more kinky than in the movie. Jimmy Kimmel tries to prove this theory by simply asking people "are you kinky?" It's simple, yet effective. Enjoy.

Most Expensivest $hit With 2 Chainz

A common theme in rap and hip-hop is bragging about excess. 2 Chainz is no stranger to said excess--he has a personal chef with him at all times, and hey, if you have the money, why not be a little extravagant from time to time.

Chainz has turned that notion of "let's do it big or not do it at all" into a GQ series entitled "Most Expensivest $hit." The first three episodes are available here, and I've put my personal favorite above, which features a $295 hamburger. Even without tasting the burger, which is topped with caviar and encased in a gold-covered bun, I can wholeheartedly say it's not worth it. Fortunately, all of the profits go to a New York homeless shelter, though hearing the explanation of what goes into this burger, it seems like the profits are maybe .01% of the total cost.

Lonely Island Performs YOLO Live on Jimmy Fallon

I think one of the crowning achievements for any artist is getting The Roots to play your backing instrumentals. In this case, said artist is The Lonely Island, and said "instrumental" is the beat for "YOLO," their first single from The Wack Album. Jimmy Fallon hops in for Adam Levine on the chorus, and Kendrick Lamar's subpar verse gets replaced by a superior freestyle from Black Thought. Good stuff all around, and very well put together for a live show.

Meet The Latest Comedic Duo: Clint Eastwood and Chair

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 38th season over the weekend, and the political satire was already in full-swing. I'm not entirely sure what I thought of the premiere, but one sketch was fantastic: Bill Hader reviving his Clint Eastwood impression and teaming up with the empty chair he spoke to at the Republic National Convention. The pair, trying to capitalize on the recent publicity of said chair incident, are taking their act on the road for a comedy tour. The crowd reactions are the best part, especially Jay Pharoah being utterly confused by what's happening around him. Good stuff.
