Check Out the Trailer for Quentin Tarantino's New Movie Once Upon a Time In Hollywood

HO BOY. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood comes out July 26, and Quentin Tarantino's new flick is already setting the internet ablaze. I don't even fully comprehend everything that's going on here – Leonardo DiCaprio plays a washed-up Hollywood star, Brad Pitt is his stunt double. These are both made up characters, as far as I can tell. And then Margot Robbie is Sharon Tate and there's a whole subplot involving Charles Manson. MADNESS. Luke Perry is also in this movie in his final film role.

I don't believe Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys is in this movie, but if you haven't read his whole backstory with Charles Manson, I would highly recommend it. The 60s were a wild time, man.

In any case, I'm excited to see this movie, and I usually don't get too riled up over Tarantino films. This is the first one he's doing without the backing of Harvey Weinstein and his production, and all it cost Sony was $95 million and final cut privileges. Not too shabby.

The Beach Boys' "Wouldn't It Be Nice" In A Cappella Form Is Spectacular

Perhaps more than any band before them, the Beach Boys were incredible at harmonizing. One of the tunes that really shows this off is "Wouldn't It Be Nice," a song written by Brian Wilson, Mike Love, and Tony Asher, though Al Jardine gets a rare shot at lead vocals.

The track is the opener of the iconic Pet Sounds album and features a variety of instruments that were unusual at the time, like accordions and a detuned twelve-string guitar. You won't hear any of those in this video, though – it's strictly vocals. That doesn't make it any less impressive, though. Check out those harmonies!

This song is criminally underrated and underknown. Love the "hey now" part in the second and third verses. A very solid addition to the Beach Boys' already extensive music library.

Pentatonix And The Evolution of Music

Those beat-boxin, a cappella-in' kids from Pentatonix are at it again. This time they've done an Evolution of Music, jumping from the 11th century all the way up to present day. While a few of these songs are terrible and make me disgusted with how bad pop music can be, at least they sound okay when they're only voices and last for about 5-8 seconds. So that's cool. Otherwise, give it a listen!
