This huge house cat in San Jose weighs 27 pounds. That's ABSURD. So it's no surprise that neighbors have often called Animal Control, because, you know...that's a mini bobcat in some areas. But Spock the Cat is one of the most gentle creatures around. Check him out in action.

This Was The First Video Uploaded To YouTube, Ten Years Ago Today




Man, how time flies. I remember when I started a YouTube channel several years back, but I've got nothing on jawed, who posted the above video 10 years ago to the day. It's an 18-second clip of him at the zoo, and it is RIVETING. Of course, since its original upload date, a few annotations have been added in, but hey, it's still a piece of history.

31 Days of Calvin and Hobbes: Day 17


Comic strips rarely deal with death. Let's face it: there are more humorous topics out there. But Calvin and Hobbes doesn't need to be funny to work.

This strip is part of a series that happened pretty early on in the lifespan of the comic. Calvin finds a raccoon that's already pretty badly injured, and rushes to get his mom and dad to try and save its life. Of course, as neither one of them are veterinarians with emergency life-saving skills, the raccoon dies during the night. Calvin doesn't take it very well, and this is the strip that wraps things up. I don't think it could be said more eloquently.
