Animated Short Features Time-Traveling Record Player

This Oscar-nominated short, "A Single Life," is the story of a woman who receives a mysterious package. It turns out to be a record player, with a special ability to travel throughout time, simply by moving the needle. What kind of adventures will she find?

Also highly recommend reading the New Yorker's lengthier story about the Dutch design team, Job, Joris & Marieke. But for now, put on your favorite record (or just push play) and enjoy!

Kobe Bryant Pranks Aesthetician on 'Ellen'

If there's one thing Ellen DeGeneres is known for, it's pranking the heck out of people. And it's always glorious. In his first post-NBA career interview, former Lakers star Kobe Bryant joined in on the pranking fun.

He headed to an aesthetician with Ellen planted in his ear via an earpiece. She told him what to do and say, and...well, the results are glorious. Enjoy. Check out Kobe's interview below, as well.

Wichita State Shockers Star in Delightfully Cheesy Commercial

Wichita-based Carlos O'Kelly's features Tex-Mex and what looks like some delightful queso. So delightful, in fact, that former Wichita State basketball player Ron Baker resorts to double dipping in order to get maximum enjoyment.

However, that rubs his dining partners, teammates Fred Van Vleet and Evan Wessel, the wrong way. They call Baker out for the double dip, and...well, let's go to the monitor to see the results.

Men Read Mean Tweets to Women Journalists' Faces

If you don't feel disgusted after reading this video, I really don't know what to tell you. As part of its #MoreThanMean campaign, the Just Not Sports network had men come in and read insulting, harassing, and typically vile tweets to female sports reporters Julie DiCaro and Sarah Spain.

Oh yes, the tweets are about DiCaro and Spain.

The men reading these didn't write the tweets, and you can tell, as some get choked up having to share someone's horrible thoughts directly to the reporters' faces.

Perhaps even more outrageous are the comments on the video itself, which are equally as terrible as what's in the video, if not worse. It's almost enough to make you give up on humanity completely, but then you see the guys in this video expressing remorse, and you feel a little bit better.

Remember, everyone: regardless of your gender or the gender of the person you're talking to, it's still a real human being on the other end of your post. Just because you're typing it into a computer, don't think it won't have any effect.

Before we all get too bummed out, here's a video of puppies and babies playing together.

Jordan Spieth's Masters Collapse Is Now Available In Nintendo Style

Jordan Spieth is one of the top golfers in the game today, so it's nice to see that even the superstars can have their bad moments. Earlier this month, Spieth blew a five-shot lead on the back nine to lose the Masters to Danny Willett. The biggest part of his meltdown happened on the 12th hole, in which he quadrupled-bogeyed after hitting the ball into the water twice.

The folks from The Kicker have done what they do best–turn the event into an old school video game. Channeling their inner Nintendo Golf, the team recreated Spieth's collapse, complete with wacky sound effects and delightful animations. Enjoy!

Questlove Remembers His Time With Prince

Anyone who's ever heard The Roots' Questlove tell a story knows he's quite capable of making them fascinating. And, as Okayplayer, who animated the above video, likes to say: "Prince, in our experience, IS the best stories."

Pair the two together, and who knows what can happen? Well, you will, after you watch this video. Keep an eye out for Fela Kuti, Finding Nemo, and a hot pink stretch Hummer. Seems like a pretty standard night.

RIP, Prince.

Saved by the Bell Themed Restaurant Opening In Chicago

Fans of the terrific show Saved by the Bell will be happy to know a little piece of the 90s is coming back to Chicago. Saved by the Max is setting up pop-up shop in Wicker Park (1941 W. North Ave) and will look exactly like The Max, which is just fantastic.

The diner/setting for many episodes will offer a full kitchen, with menu items named after Saved By the Bell characters, and a full bar featuring Bayside-inspired cocktails. Naturally, guests can also participate in costume parties and 90s dance parties. Don't be surprised if you see Zach Morris busting out one of his patented cordless phones to call some more friends to join in the fun.

Stay tuned to the official Twitter page for more information.

Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola Team Up to Form "Cops" Parody Video

For fans and players alike, the NFL offseason can seem like a long time. Some people simply wallow in sorrow during the time off; others count down the days until the draft, OTAs, training camp, preseason, the regular season, etc.

Still others find a friend and make a buddy cop movie parodying the show Cops. In a video called "Pats: Cleaning the streets," New England Patriots wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola find each other playing the roles of police officers who...well, need to clean up the streets. Do they accomplish their goals? You'll just have to watch to find out!

The Cream to Cure All Your Ills

Local Austin talented person Juani BeGood is a master at videos that make you laugh while also raising red flags towards real issues in society. Her latest is no exception–a cream to stop all the creepy guys from ogling ladies. Instead, it causes hallucinations so they can imagine the creepers doing charitable acts. Win-win!

Pat McAfee Shares Why You Should Always Trust Peyton Manning

As you may have heard, Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset after winning a Super Bowl and promoting Budweiser quite often.

With a career as long and prolific as Manning's, there are naturally going to be some interesting stories. Colts punter and former Manning teammate Pat McAfee certainly has one, about a time he and some teammates were playing in the casinos.

As McAfee tells it in this fairly NSFW video from his comedy tour, Manning walked in, and...well, he had some words of wisdom. It's a good reminder that you should always trust the Sheriff.

Villanova Recreates Game-Winning Shot Quite Successfully

Remember when Villanova's Kris Jenkins knocked down a three-pointer to beat the North Carolina Tar Heels and win the National Championship? That was good times.

Such good times, in fact, that Villanova attempted to recreate it with ESPN's Andy Katz. Jenkins, Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu put their Wildcats uniforms back on and ran through the final play 11 additional times. Jenkins hits it seven times, for a solid 63 percent. And Arcidiacono's celebration of jumping onto Jenkins' back gets progressively less enthusiastic. Enjoy!

Where in the World is Captain Obvious?

Much like Carmen San Diego in her heyday, Captain Obvious is traversing the country. Although instead of doing so to solve mysteries, he's entering the Presidential Race. And he's wearing shorts, running shoes and knee socks, because a giant red overcoat is no good for athletics.
It's a bit perplexing why nobody else is running with the Cap'n...after all, this is supposed to be a Presidential Race, right? No matter. Captain Obvious is doing enough running for all of us, and when he's not getting his jog on, he's staying at accommodations that he finds through Hotels.com.

Check out the link above to see where Captain Obvious is headed to next, and if he's made it to your state already. Even better, get involved yourself! There are a ton of fun Captain Obvious gifs and reactions to play around with, so go wild. They're perfect for showing off your emotions, especially if you can't quite get your face to do what your mind is thinking. You can play along on Twitter, too, using the Cap'n's Twitter page and the hashtag #ObviousPresident.

Also, be sure to vote in any primaries or elections headed to a state near you. Captain Obvious will be anxiously awaiting the results.

Nike Athletes Pay Homage to Kobe Bryant in Tribute Video

This season has been an absolute mess for the Lakers. The team has been terrible, and Kobe Bryant has not been his usual killer self.

Of course, that shouldn't diminish what has been a terrific career, and on Wednesday, the Black Mamba will take to the court one final time. Kobe's been a Nike athlete since entering the league, so the shoe giant paid tribute with a video of other Nike athletes talking about Mr. Bryant.

There are lots of folks in here. Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, Russell Wilson, and a whole host of others. But the real show stealer is Kevin Durant. He describes Kobe perfectly in a way that would probably make the Laker laugh. Well done all around.

Jordan Schlansky Reviews Preparation H Wipes

Apparently this is becoming a regular thing. Just weeks after reviewing the Norelco Bodygroom from Philips, Jordan Schlansky is back to chat with Conan O'Brien about Preparation H Wipes, another product Jordan uses in his day-to-day life. Once again, Conan's insults are flung fast and furiously, and it's quite fantastic. Enjoy!

This Inverted Recording Of "All-Star" By Smash Mouth Is Really Strange

Everyone and their mother is familiar with the tune "All Star" by Smash Mouth. You couldn't escape it when it was released in the late 90s, and it still pops up from time to time on radio stations and at community pools and bar mitzvahs.

For whatever reason, YouTuber dotflist decided to record a cover version of the song. But instead of simply covering it, he says every line backwards. So, instead of "All that glitters is gold," you get "gold is glitters that are." Does it make sense? Not at all. Is it enjoyable? Sure, a little bit. Do we need to question why this was even done in the first place? Absolutely.

Joe Maddon Starts Outfielder Because Villanova Won the Championship, Said Outfielder Hits Home Run

Matt Szczur was feeling great Monday night–after all, his alma mater, the Villanova Wildcats, had just taken home a national championship after Kris Jenkins' buzzer beater knocked off the UNC Tar Heels, 77-74.

The good vibes continued into Tuesday night, when Cubs manager Joe Maddon put the outfielder into the starting lineup. According to Maddon, "Villanova wins the national championship, so I thought it was a good bet for tonight."

Was it worth it? Let's see:

Yeah, seems like it was.

Bert and Ernie Perform "Regulate" by Warren G and Nate Dogg

Having pop culture characters singing hip hop songs is nothing new, but man, is it still ridiculous and fantastic. The latest jam is Warren G and Nate Dogg's timeless "Regulate," performed by none other than Sesame Street's own Bert and Ernie. The rest of the SS crew makes some cameo appearances too, so maybe your favorite character will get to drop a couple lines. Until then, mount up.

Join Captain Obvious Of Hotels.com As He Runs For President

Jovial spokesman for Hotels.com Captain Obvious is getting caught up in election fever. So much so that he's running for president. How? By litchrally running across the country. The master of pointing out things that seem clear as day will be providing commentary on what has already been a fascinating election season.

Of course, simply making clever remarks is one thing, but what if you want to follow along with Captain Obvious' journey? Head over to the "Captain Obvious Runs for President" microsite, where you can see which states our presidential hopeful has visited, as well as pick up some collectibles and goodies. Because merch showing off your favorite candidate is a must.

Hotels.com is supporting their main man Captain Obvious during his race because they believe in simplicity as much as he does - and more importantly, he'll need a place to rest at night. Have you ever tried running across the country? It's exhausting! Hotels.com will provide the Cap'n with shoes, socks, shorts, and all the other gear you could need for a lengthy run. Having done one marathon in my life, I'd recommend a water belt and vaseline for ankles and hips. Chafing is never fun.

As any good presidential candidate should, Captain Obvious is welcoming feedback on his campaign. Follow along on Twitter using the hashtag #ObviousPresident to keep up on the latest news and commentary, as well as interact and engage with the Captain.

The best part about all of this is that you don't need any running experience at all. If I can enjoy a good run from the comfort of my sofa while noshing on a Reese's egg, I'm all for it.
